[해외소식] 다음달 인텔 2GHz의 아톰 프로세서를 출시?

 
이번 초기단계에서는 소문이 더 많지만, 중국 하드웨어 사이트 HKEPC.com에서는 Intel이 다음달 실버쓰론 라인의 아톰 프로세서를 추가한다고 주장했습니다.

리포트가 믿을만 하다면, 인텔은 2GHz의 아톰 Z550과 800MHz의 아톰 Z515를 소개할 것 입니다.
후자는 크게 흥미있다고 보여지지 않지만, 인텔 폭발 성능 기술(Burst Performance Technology)으로, 칩이 동적으로 800MHz에서 1.2GHz까지 동작하도록 허용합니다. 예상하기에 UMPC같은 저전력 손크기에 유용할 것 입니다.

예상하되는 인텔의 아톰 라인이며 아래에 2개의 새로운 Z-시리즈를 추가했습니다.

2GHz 아톰 Z550은 클럭의 증가에도 불구하고, 아톰 Z540의 2.4W TDP를 유지합니다.
마지막줄은 어렵네요.. -_-; 우리가 새로운 아톰 프로세서 1개 혹은 2개를 예상하지만.. 보여져야(출시가 되야) 알 수 있다는 것 같다는.. -_-;

Intel to launch 2GHz Atom processor next month?

It's little more than a rumour at this early stage, but Chinese hardware site HKEPC.com claims that Intel will be adding to its Silverthorne line of Atom processors as soon as next month.

If the report is to be believed, Intel will be introducing the 2GHz Atom Z550 and the 800MHz Atom Z515. Whilst the latter doesn't sound mighty interesting, it's said to feature Intel Burst Performance Technology, allowing the chip to dynamically scale from 800MHz to 1.2GHz. Useful, we reckon, for low power handhelds such as UMPCs.

Conjecturing somewhat, here's how Intel's Atom line up would look following the addition of the two new Z-series parts:

The 2GHz Atom Z550 is claimed to retain the 2.4W TDP of the Atom Z540, despite the bump in frequency. Of course, whether or not the parts will see the light of day remains to be seen, but we reckon we're due a new Atom processor or two.
