소개

XFX는 해가 바뀌기 바로 이전에 MB-X58i-CH19 라는 상상의 제목으로 Core i7을 지원하는 X58 메인보드 가용성에 대해 발표했었습니다. X58 메인보드는 높은 속도와 합리적인 가격을 약속했지만, 대부분에게는 터무니없이 비쌌습니다. 지금은 210유로에 구매할 수 있습니다.

현재 테스트-침대(?)에 앉아 디자인에 장점이 있는지 보도록 합니다. 여러분, 전체적인 리뷰는 따라오세요. (?? ㅋㅋ;)

NVIDIA 로고가 찍혀있지만(NVIDIA 것이라고 강하게 얘기할 지 모르지만) 사실, Core i7 920, 940 과 965 Extreme Edition 칩을 지원하는 Intel의 X58 칩셋을 기초로 합니다. XFX는 고객의 대부분이 현재 240유로 근처의 가격인 Core i& 920을 구매할 것이란걸 알고있고, 940과 965EE의 속도를 각각 2.93GHz 및  3.2GHz로 오버클리킹 해주는 한쌍의 'X-Profiles' 바이오스를 포함하였습니다.  XFX는 965 EE의 속도를 자유롭게 보장합니다.. (?)

외부로 발산하는 NVIDIA까지 XFX 길게 서있는 충실(히트파이프를 말하는듯..), ..... , 8-핀 전원단자는 약간 안좋은 위치, 2개의 히트파이프가 결합하는 곳 사이의 히트싱크(영 해석 안되는 문장.. ㄷㄷ; ㅠㅠ;)

(상대적으로) 메인보드 계획의 근원은 6-페이즈의 전원규칙을 사용하는 것이 가능하도록 되어있습니다. 대부분의 X58-기초의 메인보드는 더 선택하는 경향이 있습니다만, 비용이 더 비쌉니다.

CPU 주변을 주목하여 살펴보면 어울리는(보드에??) 쿨러를 위한 많은 여유공간이 있습니다, 이 부분의 레이아웃은 좋지만, 개인적인 경험으로 얘기하자면 히트싱크를 설치할때 손가락이 다치는(잘라지는은..ㅠㅠ) 약간의 위험이 있습니다.

편리한 디버깅 LED는 트리플-채널 메모리를 지원하는 6개의 DIMM 슬롯 우측(직각??)으로 찾을 수 있고, 히트파이프는 계속 ICH10R 사우스브릿지까지 내려갑니다.

XFX's 'budget' X58 motherboard early look: promises much

Introduction
XFX announced the availability of its Core i7-supporting X58 motherboard - imaginatively titled MB-X58i-CH19 - just before the turn of the year. Promising high speeds with a reasonable price-tag for an X58 board but prohibitively high for most, the ￡210 board is available to buy now.

Currently sitting on the test-bed, we've given it the once-over, to see if there's merit in the design. Full review to follow, folks.

Branded in NVIDIA livery, you'd be hard-pushed to tell that it was, in fact, based on Intel's X58 chipset that supports the Core i7 920, 940, and 965 Extreme Edition chips.

XFX knows that the majority of customers will be purchasing a Core i7 920, which currently etails at around ￡240, and includes a couple of 'X-Profiles' in the BIOS that overclock the chip to either 2.93GHz or 3.2GHz, which are the speeds of the 940 and 965 EE, respectively. In effect, XFX is guaranteeing 965 EE speeds for free.

XFX's long-standing allegiance to NVIDIA pours forth in the branding, but on a more pragmatic note, the eight-pin power-connector sits in a slightly awkward position, between the two heatpipe-attached heatsinks.

The (relatively) budget origins of the board are visible in the use of six-phase power-regulation. Most X58-based tend to opt for more, at the expensive of, well, cost.

A look around the CPU area highlights that there's plenty of room to fit coolers, so layout on this side is good, and there's little risk in getting your fingers cut up when installing heatsinks, speaking from personal experience.

A handy debug LED is found to the right of the six DIMM slots that support tri-channel memory, and the heatpipe continues on down to the ICH10R southbridge.
